2010s
Hopkins Childcare Center is proud to partner with the Partnership for a Healthier America, bringing a pioneering farm-to-table program to early childhood education.
At Hopkins Childcare Center, we incorporate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) into our curriculum to inspire creativity and develop critical thinking skills.

1990s
Hopkins Childcare Center proudly expands its commitment to excellence with new schools in Idaho and the operation of 47 schools in Minnesota.
Hopkins Childcare is proud to care for over 5,000 children across Minnesota and Idaho.

Our Story
Hopkins Childcare Center, a family-owned and operated childcare provider, has been dedicated to serving young children since 1971. Founded by Sue Dunkley, an elementary school teacher, our center was established to create a nurturing environment where children could build confidence and self-belief before entering the broader world of school. This vision continues to guide our mission today.
Today, Ahmed Khan, the son of our founder and one of Hopkins Childcare Center’s first students, serves as our Chief Executive Officer. Ahmed continues the commitment to excellence that his mother established in the early years of our center. The mission, philosophy, and practices of
Hopkins Childcare Center remain grounded in the same strong foundation, ensuring every child in our programs develops a healthy sense of
self and a commitment to excellence.
Driven by our deep love, belief, and dedication to children, Hopkins Childcare Center has grown into one of the nation’s most successful and
respected providers of childcare and early education.
